About this site
Is every product listed Jain-approved?
No. We provide evidence and explain possible concerns; visitors decide what suits their practice.
Is vegan always the same as Jain-compatible?
No. Vegan material claims address one dimension, not all aspects of ahimsa or household practice.
Do you sell products?
Initially no; future retailer links may be included with clear disclosure.
Is this a religious authority?
No. We are a research-led guide. For religious questions, please consult a teacher or elder you trust.
Products and evidence
Why does my country matter?
Products with the same name can have different variants, materials, energy labels and availability.
What does “not verified” mean?
We do not yet have adequate evidence. It is not a negative or positive verdict.
Are the products in the Product Finder real?
In this version the records are clearly labelled fictional demonstration entries, created to show how filters, statuses and comparison work. They are not assessments of real products.
Principles
Does Jainism forbid electrical appliances?
We do not claim a universal rule. Traditions, communities and individuals differ in how they apply Jain teachings to modern technology.
Is an electric car necessarily preferable?
Not automatically. Examine the materials in the specific vehicle, how it was made, the energy you will charge it with, and whether you need to replace a working vehicle at all.
Community and forms
Can I suggest a product?
Yes, through the community form.
Can I correct an article?
Yes; send evidence through the contact form.
What happens to the forms I submit?
In this version, nothing is sent anywhere. The forms validate your input and show a demonstration confirmation. A backend will be configured before real submissions are accepted.
