Editorial Policy

Jain Indians Overseas is a research-led information resource. We aim to be useful, careful and transparent about what we know. We are not a religious authority and not a certification body.

Product records use five status labels: manufacturer confirmed, independently verified, not verified, potential concern and not applicable. We do not use a universal “Jain-approved” badge, and we never treat unknown information as safe.

Commercial relationships must not determine verification outcomes. If affiliate links are added in future, they will be disclosed clearly and will not influence the status assigned to a product.

Where Jain communities hold different views, we present the question and the main perspectives we know of, and leave the decision with the reader.

Submissions are moderated. Anecdotes are labelled as anecdotes. We do not publish personal contact details.

Each article carries a last-reviewed date. If you have evidence that something is wrong or out of date, please send it through the contact page. We recheck material periodically.
